We have moved onto a new style of song in music, we are currently practising playing and singing a jazz song called a sparkle in the sun. We have also learnt the difference between a beat and a rhythm and we can all now find the beat of a song independently!

2G have had a great day doing all things ‘Elmer’ and raising money for Brian House Charity. 

Today in PE we have been practising our balancing and coordination skills using the climbing frame.

This morning we have been exploring 3D shapes. We have played 3D bingo recognising everyday objects, we have played dominoes and games of 3D shape snap and some of us even built our very own 3D shapes with magnets.

In science we have started a new topic; everyday materials! This morning we explored common materials we could find around both the classroom and the play ground such as wood, glass, plastic and metal. We spoke about the properties of the materials we had found using words like dull, shiny, rough,…

A big happy birthday to Sophie who celebrated her 10th birthday over the Christmas break. Thank you for bringing in yummy treats to share with your friends, everybody had so much fun celebrating with you!

Welcome back! It was lovely to be back in school & see so many happy faces.

We had a special visit from Santa this morning to check who was on his good list. Looks like everyone in 2G has made it so far!

There’s lots of glitter and sparkle around 2G this morning as we have been busy making winter crafts, everybody’s work looks beautiful! We can’t wait to show our friends and family what we have been making!
