Hapa Zome
Hapa Zome is a type of Artwork that involves printing.
We painted our bubble wrap shape, and then had to “press” on paper. The best bit was going “bang” with the mallet.
Life Bus Visit
We had a special visitor in 1S yesterday. We loved helping Harold the giraffe brush his teeth and hair. Harold had his face washed too.
Northern Lights
We may not all have been lucky enough, or awake, to see the Northern Lights, but we still enjoyed our own Northern Lights experience in the sensory room. The lights changed from blue to pink, to purple, and green. It was truly magical!
Star of the week
Our Star of the Week in 1S is Kai for the smiles and giggles when he could spray with the paint. Great fine motor skills!
Press the spray
We have loved working our hand muscles to spray paint onto paper. We had to “press”.
Did you know that if you spray a boat with a water spray it will move by itself!
Forest fun
1S have had so much fun out in the forest area. We had chance to explore the flowers and sticks and looked at the leaves ready to paint them and print with them next week!
Row, row your boat
“Row, row your boat” is one of our new songs as we’ve started our Out and About topic. I wonder what else we will see on our travels down the river in our boats.
Bouncing into Rewards Day!
1S loved jumping on the bouncy castle and trampolines and had a great time in the ball pool too.
What a lovely treat we’ve had!
Feed the birds
1S pressed seeds into apples to make bird feeders to support our Science work.
We may have got a little muddy today putting the bird feeders on the trees in the forest.
But we explored the swishy swishy grass, squished in the mud, listened to the birds, balanced on the logs and enjoyed the…
If I were an engineer
Today we have experienced being an engineer, exploring the function and design of different products. We’ve used materials from around the classroom to problem solve, and have been so inventive.
Need a bed, oven or tower? 1S can always be called upon to help!
