Sports day practise
We have been practising hard for our sports day next week, sprinting and throwing javelins!
Holiday time!
Logan enjoyed sharing pictures from his Nana who has just been on holiday! This is great for us to see as we are learning about holidays in Topic!
Feeling the grass
We enjoyed feeling the grass in between our toes today! We even worked on our life skills putting our shoes and socks back on!
Using our taste
We used our taste to try different flavour crisps. We then decided if we liked or disliked each one before using adjectives to describe them!
Our flower walk
We enjoyed going on a flower walk, picking different flowers for our bouquets. We used fine motor skills to thread the stems through the holes. Well done everyone!
What’s the time Mr Wolf?
In Maths we have been learning all about time. Today we played What’s the Time Mr Wolf? We were fantastic at using o’clock!
My nose
We used our noses to smell different objects today. We enjoyed sniffing, perfume, lemongrass, coffee, chocolate, burnt matches and oranges. Well done everyone, you picked some fantastic adjectives from our word mat!
Senses hunt
We had a walk around school using our senses. We could see the trees, listen to the builders, smell the flowers and feel the grass!
What’s the day?
In Maths, we have started to look at time and learn the days of the week. We had glitter filled balloons to match to the coloured day of the week symbol and paired it with the sound on the glockenspiel!
Hama beads
We have loved working on our fine motor skills, using a pincer motion to put Hama beads on the boards. Some of us even made our own pictures like Noah’s Ark and Flop from Bing!
Our senses
In English, we have started to explore our five senses, we used rice crispies to help us! We looked, tasted, felt, smelt and listened to them, before describing.
Building Peppa
We have worked hard building Peppa pig today. We had to fill her with shredded paper and colour in her top.
