At college this week, we continued with our work on Logic Pro.

We took samples from the loop library and placed them on our track and linked them together.

In our Friday fitness session we worked hard on the different machines to improve our physical fitness.

It is important in our preparation for adulthood, to be physically healthy.

In our home cooking session this week we made lemon and blueberry muffins.

We all learnt how to carefully zest the lemons using a grater, we then mixed this with the other ingredients into a batter which we carefully placed into muffin cases.

We also checked what temperature the oven…

Fitness after school club runs every Monday after Sixth Form. A small circuit was set up to ensure our students made the most out of their fitness time. 

In 5J we like to keep up with current news and events,

We all are able to use a laptop to find our website or information we wanted and then were able to read it and use the website to accsess other articles.

In our resilience session this week we tried some activities we hadn’t done before.

Jorja was extremely helpful, helping Leah to make loom bands.

Anthony showed real resilience as his Hama bead pattern got knocked and he had to remake it from scratch.

In our reading sessions we have a chance to choose our own books and read for pleasure. Reading is a great tool to relax, chill and a great way to learn some new things!

In football this week we practiced our shooting. Lots of hard work as done!

We are continuing with our enterprise project for Christmas.

we have continued to cut boxes up and decorate them using old Xmas wrapping paper as and eco friendly way to recycle. We have also been designing and making tags for the gifts.

In Maths we started to discuss how we can use different methods to work out problems and sums.

We spoke about the horizontal and column methods and when would be the correct times to use them.

We had a great discussion!

We have been reading our class novel together, Mrs Irving reads out loud to us, we follow on our own books at take turns reading as well.

We enjoy our reading sessions.

At college this week we first had to listen to pieces of music and guess which instruments were being played. 
We then got to try different instruments out in the studio.

We got to play the drums, a synthesiser and a piano.
