Learning About Royal Coronations 👑

Our pupils have been learning all about royal coronations and how these special ceremonies have been celebrated throughout history.

We watched a selection of videos exploring coronations from the past, learning about some of the traditions, clothing and important symbols associated with these historic occasions.

To bring our learning to life, the pupils then had the opportunity to become kings and queens for the day! They chose a crown from a selection of designs before carefully cutting, folding and assembling their chosen crown.

Once their crowns were complete, it was time for the royal portraits! Each pupil took a turn sitting on our very own ‘throne’, proudly wearing their handmade crown.

The finished photographs certainly captured some very regal-looking kings and queens! 👑
