3W have been looking at the different ways of subitising. Perceptual subitising is when we instantly recognise the amount without having to count. Conceptual Subitising involves seeing a pattern and breaking it down.
This helps to build a strong foundations for early number awareness and serves as a stepping stone for future mental maths. 😊
