This week, the pupils have been developing their understanding of sharing items into equal amounts and exploring what it means for something to be fair. Through practical activities, discussions, and visual learning, the children have been building important early mathematical skills linked to division and equal grouping.
The pupils enjoyed using a variety of objects to practise sharing fairly between groups. They worked carefully to ensure that each person or group received the same number of items, helping them understand that fair sharing means everyone gets an equal amount. Through hands-on experiences, the children began to recognise when groups were equal and when they were not.
To consolidate their learning, the pupils also watched a range of engaging educational videos that demonstrated fair sharing and equal groups in different contexts. The videos provided visual examples and helped reinforce key concepts, allowing the children to see how these mathematical ideas can be applied in everyday situations.
