3H had a fantastic History lesson today as we explored wartime rationing and discovered why Britain had to limit food during the war. Pupils showed a brilliant understanding of how rationing helped keep things fair so everyone received the same amount. Using their own ‘ration points’, pupils visited our classroom shop to collect oats and sugar before taking part in a sensory cooking activity, making porridge while focusing on what they could see, smell, taste, and feel. It was wonderful to watch pupils getting hands‑on with the oats, noticing how the texture changed when water was added, and confidently communicating their thoughts throughout the experience. A brilliant effort from everyone!
