For mathematics we are continuing our topic on “time”
Today we looked at how time is measured throughout a day. The fundamental base unit of time is a second. It takes 60 seconds to make a minute. There are 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day.
In our class we have a lot of clocks some are digital and some are analog. We looked at the various functions of these and compared the different features of these clocks. With an analog clock you see the hands going around marking time but with a digital clock you see the display board of numbers showing as the three units plus the date.
After learning about this we split into two groups and in a race against the clock the teams completed their mission in a timely manner. The students worked really hard at this task, taking turns and contemplating answers.
A great time was had by all 🕰️
