The class had an exciting opportunity to explore different microhabitats during their Forest School session, investigating how small creatures find food, shelter, and safety in their natural surroundings. The students took part in a hands‑on activity, searching for examples of microhabitats such as leaf piles, rotting logs, and shady undergrowth. One of the highlights was visiting the bug hotel carefully created by staff, where pupils discovered how its stacked wood, bark, and natural materials provided a perfect home for insects.
