In our home cooking session this week we made lemon and blueberry muffins.
We all learnt how to carefully zest the lemons using a grater, we then mixed this with the other ingredients into a batter which we carefully placed into muffin cases.

We continued to improve our knowledge and skills with using potatoes in our home cooking class.

In English we looked at lists and instructions. First we followed the instructions to make some delicious banana bread.
After we finished making the bread we wrote our ingredients we used in the recipe out into a list and wrote the instructions out in our books.

4S Life Skills- Baking
As part of our life skills 4S did some baking this afternoon!
We learnt to warm the ovens up, mix the cookie dough and baked them the perfect amount of time!

3W Food tech
Today in food tech we made filled potato kind! We cooked the potatoes in the air fryer, we then cooked the bacon in the oven, making sure to use rubber tongs to flip the bacon over and let all the fat collect in the bottom of the oven pan. We grated some cheese, we then cut the potatoes in half…

We made Churro dough balls in cooking this week.
We mixed the dough, and formed them into balls, we then placed them into the air fryer.
We finished them off with a sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar, with Nutella dip.
They were delicious!

Our new subject in Topic is all about food.
We are going to be learning where food comes from.
We have been experiencing different foods by tasting, looking at and smelling them.
