ay - may I play
We have worked hard this week learning our new sound ‘ay’. The children have to been able read the words that all contain the ‘ay’ word. Well done everyone.
Fine motor water and ice fun
All of the children absolutely loved this fine motor activity this morning using the spray bottles to colour the ice. Miss Brown apologises for any pupils coming home a funny colour yesterday but hey, a messy child is a happy child
PE Mondays
We love getting the week started by having PE on a Monday morning. It wakes us up and gets us ready for a week of learning. We have been jumping, following a circuit, using the trampolines and having lots of fun bouncing and jumping in the bouncy room. Well done everyone.
Making our disgusting sandwiches
The making of our disgusting sandwiches meant practising using our fine motor skills to spread, twist and press the ingredients together. The children had so much fun making their disgusting sandwiches.

Sensory Tuff Tray
Thank you Miss Nowell. We came into school this morning to the most fantastic sensory tuff tray! All of the food on this tray are safe to eat and they help us to explore our oral sensory needs. It was lovely to see the children sitting together and playing with the animals in the tuff tray.
Independent learning time

Sensory Room Fun
Such a lovely end to the week. The children from 1B enjoyed some time in the sensory room, meeting their sensory needs in a range of different ways.
Goodbye Miss Orritt
Today we said goodbye to our very own Miss Orritt. Thank you for all of the help and support you have provided us. We will miss you lots but we wish you the best of luck as you move onto your next adventure.
Fine motor activities
The children have been using pipettes to drip coloured milk onto a slice of bread and into a tray. The focus and concentration needed to fill the pipette is massive and the children did so well. Well done everyone.
SNOW!
We have all enjoyed going out to play in the snow this morning. We heard some good vocabulary being used such as, ‘freezing, soft, cold, crunchy.’
Wow Moment
Wow Ashley - what an achievement. You took the caterpillar outfit to Mrs Rose so she could help you put it on. You enjoyed pretending to be the caterpillar, eating all of the fruit. When asked how many pieces of fruit there were, you counted them and said the correct number.
