This morning 2R spent some time creating a habitat for Robin Hood, our reading corner friend, in Forest School. They made some amazing shelters, which were covered and very comfortable. Well done 2R

Felting with sheep’s wool
This week 2R revisited their trip to Cobble Hey Farm by looking at some sheep’s wool and then making a piece of wet felt art using coloured merino wool. 2R designed their piece then agitated the wool, using warm water and soap, so it bonded and became a fused piece of fabric. The results were…

Planting potatoes
This afternoon 2R planted some chitted potatos. We are learning about where food comes from, and also reading Supertato, so this will help us in our learning. We also picked and smelled some chives and lemon verbena growing in our allotment

Polling Day
Today 2R voted for their favourite biscuit. We set up a polling station and used photo id, before we cast our vote. Ballots will be counted and verified and results will be announced tomorrow

Introduction to Cobble Hey Farm
Today 2R explored a special bag from Cobble Hey Farm, which we will be visiting at the end of the month. We looked at hay and straw, and smelt food pellets and sheep droppings. Everyone is very excited for our adventure.

Painting Roman Pots
This afternoon 2R painted their Roman Pots, using the design sheets they’d previously made. Some great patterns and story telling was used on the vase surfaces. Well done.
