Today in RE, we learned about Jesus healing the 10 lepers. We discussed how the lepers were very poorly and how Jesus showed kindness, love and care by healing them.
To help us understand the story, we transformed our classroom into a waiting room and became doctors and nurses! One by one, each doctor and nurse was called to help their patient. The children listened carefully to what was wrong with their teddy before treating them with plasters and bandages.
The children thoroughly enjoyed caring for their patients and showed great empathy and kindness throughout the activity. As the teddies were nursed back to health, several children proudly exclaimed, "All better!"
It was a wonderful way to explore the message of the story and learn about helping others with kindness and compassion.
