In Computing this week, we have been learning about algorithms. To begin our lesson, we watched a witch’s potion being made and carefully observed each step. We then worked together to create an algorithm by putting the potion-making instructions into the correct order.

Once we had created our algorithms, we became potion makers ourselves! Using our step-by-step instructions, we individually recreated the witch’s potion, following the algorithm carefully to make sure we didn’t miss any important steps.

This was a fun and engaging way to learn about how algorithms work and why instructions need to be clear and in the correct sequence. It was also a fantastic way to get into the spooky season while developing our computing skills!
