As part of our history learning, the children have been exploring royalty and discovering the key differences between kings and queens. Through matching games and looking at portraits, they quickly noticed that kings are male rulers who wear robes and crowns, while queens are female rulers who often wear distinct gowns, tiaras, or crowns.
The children had wonderful discussions comparing how these different monarchs looked, dressed, and ruled throughout history!
