As part of our computing lesson, the children followed an algorithm to make toast. They carefully followed a sequence of instructions, including putting the bread into the toaster, waiting for it to toast, and then independently spreading butter onto their toast. By following each step in the correct order, the children developed their understanding of algorithms and how instructions can be used to complete a task successfully. This practical activity also supported the development of independence, problem-solving skills, and confidence in carrying out everyday tasks.
