To bring our RE topic of Humanism to a wonderful close, we held our very own Humanist naming ceremony in class. Using an adapted celebrant script, each of us stood up and read our personal wish for the baby loudly and clearly, showing confidence and care. We listened to music, our chosen ‘celebrant’ led the ceremony beautifully, and we all signed the naming certificate before celebrating with biscuits and a little party. Throughout this term we’ve truly impressed our teachers with our focus, engagement, and growing understanding of Humanism — a brilliant end to a thoughtful topic.
