Today we stepped back in time! We first received our ration books, completed our personal details in case we lost them and then it was off to the shop! Just like in WW2 food was scarce and there was not enough for everyone, so sharing was a must. If you got in line early you had more choices and at the end of the day the shop would sell out! The children were surprised as to how little food people had for a week during the war.
