Our Humanities lesson this week took us on a wonderful journey to the seaside! Pupils enjoyed exploring sand through digging, scooping and tactile play, and enjoyed a lively water activity where they practised pouring, squeezing, filling and even discussed water safety; both stations encouraged sentence building, turn‑taking and lots of meaningful communication. The excitement grew when it suddenly began “raining”, in typical Blackpool style, on our giant umbrella, adding a burst of seaside‑style fun and we ended our adventure by sitting together for a shared real‑life picnic with friends — with sausage rolls proving to be the favourite. A joyful, hands‑on session that brought our holidays topic to life!
