A very exciting morning for 4H. Today they were given the recipe for Lemon Cake with Elderflower Curd, worked in pairs and independently followed the recipe and instructions - the smell of the cakes baking was delicious! When cooled, they substituted the Elderflower curd for Lemon curd or Jam, carefully cut the cakes in half and spread their choice into the middle of the cake, on top of the cake and finishing with a sprinkle of Icing Sugar. A very rewarding morning for them !
