Pupils in 2P brought The Gingerbread Man to life through their senses. We filled the room with the warm smell of ginger as pupils explored the scent and tasted ginger biscuits, sparking lots of different reactions. They then made their own gingerbread playdough, pouring, mixing, and kneading it themselves. As they engaged in activities , we retold and recited the story together repeating “Run, run, as fast as you can!” Pupils had a great sensory experience that made the story meaningful and memorable.
