In Humanities, as part of our Local Area topic, we explored the differences between old and new buildings and transport in our community. Pupils loved taking part in a lively game where they stood up if they thought something was old and sat down if they thought it was new, sparking lots of thoughtful discussions and brilliant answers. We then strengthened our understanding by comparing old and new games — from hopscotch and the wooden train track outside to using the interactive board indoors. Pupils answered a range of questions that showed just how much they had learned. A fun, active, and engaging way to bring our topic to life!
