This afternoon we continued working on our spring river art scenes. We began by holding up our artwork and comparing it to the image we are recreating, helping us to identify what was missing. The pupils decided that yellow flowers were needed to complete the scene. We then went into the forest area to explore and look for yellow flowers in the natural environment, where we found lots to inspire us. Back in the classroom, pupils added flowers to their artwork using paint sticks, experimenting with both lighter and darker shades of yellow. Next week, we will complete our pictures by adding the final element, the river bridge. The artwork is looking fantastic, and the pupils have worked incredibly hard on their pieces.
