Today in RE we discussed how a lot of Hindus are vegetarians due to their religion. Hinduism encourages Hindus to be non-violent to all living things, which of course includes animals! We showed brilliant maturity and respect to other religions during our class discussion. Then we enjoyed tucking into a variety of vegetarian foods before completing a sorting activity to reinforce our knowledge of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. Pupils used their senses to engage in the tasting activity - Alfie said “the carrots were hard, made a crunchy sound and tasted nice”.
