3P has a try of being coal miners, which they described as “horrible”, “tight”, “dusty”, “hot” and “scary”. This wasn’t a fun job. We learnt all about their hard work and the dangers of the job. The children were shocked about their work and how much was asked of them. They were not shocked to hear about the strike of 1926 ????
