Today some of our KS5 students have been at Blackpool & The Fylde college studying an artist called Anna Atkins. Anna revolutionised the art genre cyanotypes. We made our cyanotypes by putting chemicals onto paper in the dark room, then we went outside and chose a piece of nature like a leaf or feather. We then clipped it to the paper and left in the sun for 5minutes. The UV rays burnt the details of the leaf/feather onto the paper creating our own piece of art.
