Trip to Cobble Hey farm
2C had an amazing time at Cobble Hey farm. We enjoyed learning about what happens at a working farm. We were able to hold and feed some of the animals and finished the day with a lovely hike around the farm.

This week 2C have been looking at data and the different ways we can record it. We created our own tally charts and then discovered how this could be represented through bar graphs, pictograms and pie charts. Well done everyone!

2C Fun in the bouncy room
2C have enjoyed spending time in the bouncy room this afternoon after working so hard this week. We enjoyed developing our social interaction with friends and our listening skills.

This morning we have enjoyed looking at fiction and non-fiction books. You all did a great job finding one of each and showed enjoyment in having quiet time in the library to explore your interests.

2C Identifying farmland on a map
For topic this term 2C have been looking at food and where it comes from. Today we used Google maps and an atlas to identify where farms are located, compared the countryside to our local area and thought about how farming has changed over time. Great work everyone.

Science and matter
Today in science we have been exploring matter and identified the differences between solid, liquid and gas. We then used cornflour and water to experience something which could be a solid and a liquid at the same time. Great work everyone.

Maths
In maths 2C have been looking at fractions and grouping. Today we looked at how we could group our class and identified we could do this in many different ways. We decided to group ourselves by height, hair colour, gender and different items of clothing. Great work everyone!

Today 2C have really enjoyed getting messy with gloop, water play and creating their very own choice of slime. We’ve had so much fun!
